About us
"We are committed as ever to share our passion for one of a kind vintage clothing" (Tarn)
My name is Nam-Tarn, which means “Sugar” in Thai. My sister Tern’s nick name is “Cream”.
We started our love affair with vintage clothing together, so we called our shop - Sugar Cream Vintage. Having run our shops in Bangkok for over 10 years established since 2010 we’re now delighted to be able still reach
all our customers by taking Sugar Cream Vintage online. We are committed as ever to share our passion for one of a kind vintage clothing with a growing community of likeminded people and do what we can to reduce the world’s dependence on fast fashion.
"All Sugar Cream Vintage pieces are classic, timeless and unique" (Tern)

The feeling of discovering a piece that you like, which fits you perfectly, is like finding a hidden gem.
Every piece of clothing from Sugar Cream Vintage has been through a thorough quality control and tailoring process,
to bring it back to life. This ensures that our customers receive products that will last a long time.
We aim to make every Sugar Cream Vintage piece truly special, a treasure that can be passed on from generation to generation.
We promise to deliver the best quality vintage pieces and the best service possible to all our customers.
"If they were slightly worn we would fix them, if they didn’t fit, we would tailor them" (Tarn)
Our love for vintage clothing was inspired by our mum's unique fashion taste.
We have the fondest of memories of exploring her closet, which was always full of beautiful clothes. From high-waisted jeans, denim jackets and work attire, to belts with unique details - we tried them on and walked our own catwalk,
which was how our love of vintage clothing began. Our parents remain a big part of Sugar Cream Vintage and we couldn’t be doing this without their support.
When we grew up, we just couldn’t find anything in the usual shops that we could connect with - we wanted to wear different and unique clothes. We didn’t mind wearing second hand clothes, if they were slightly worn we would fix them, if they didn’t fit, we would tailor them.
Less was known then about the hugely detrimental impact fast fashion has on the environment but something inside us made us want to stand apart from what everyone else was wearing and keep away from mainstream retailers.
"They wanted to know how we managed to find the pieces we were wearing" (Tern)
Over time, our confidence grew and so did our love of vintage.
We loved finding out the history behind the special pieces that we wore.
We loved being able to tailor and amend pieces to create a new chapter in their story.
Some people would ask us how and where we got our clothes, they said they’d been to vintage shops
but what they found made them look old or didn’t fit nicely.
They wanted to know how we managed to find the pieces we were wearing.
We explained that the pieces we wore didn’t look like this when we bought them!
"We realized we were at a turning point in our life" (Tarn)
It was at this point, around 2010, that we realized we could turn our passion into a business. We started selling on street stalls and events in Bangkok. At each event our collection would sell out. It was a lot of work, tailoring each piece and making it unique, but we loved getting to know regular customers and understanding what they wanted from their garments too. Sometimes they said it felt like fate, when we would find something they really loved and it was this special connection that inspired us to keep going!
We didn’t have a brand or even business cards at that point! Social media was very new, but the passion and desire brought us together and it worked. After a while, we realized we were at a turning point in our life.
We had found a special way to live and work and support ourselves, doing something we loved.
So we quit our corporate jobs and committed to Sugar Cream Vintage full time!
It was a big step, but one that we have never looked back from.
